This pinafore is made of soft white cotton with adorable ruffle shoulders. Snaps in the back make it easy to slip on either on its own or over a dress or onesie. When it gets dirty it can be thrown in the wash just like a t-shirt. 

A pinafore is not all that common these days. But, if you think about Alice in Wonderland or Strawberry Shortcake they both wore them. Now that is retro. Typically, it is worn over a dress to protect it from food or grubby little hands. A very elegant solution indeed.
